Title: Junior Rails Developer Contractor
Are you interested in using Ruby on Rails to make the world a better place? Annkissam is a US-based small, growing organization that provides operational and technology consulting to nonprofits across the United States. We are looking to contract with an individual on a long-term basis who will help us build and maintain a complex product using Ruby on Rails. Experience with Rails is not required, but applicants should have a background in computer science and/or programming experience. Ideally the individual would be available for approximately 40 hours/week, but we are open to qualified contractors who are interested in more or fewer hours as well.
The individual would work from Thailand with a team of US-based Annkissam employees using various virtual meeting/communication tools. The contractor may rarely travel to the US at Annkissam’s expense.
The ideal contractor is:
•A quick learner who is creative and a good problem solver
•An individual who is passionate about using technology to help people
•Someone who is comfortable working autonomously
•An individual with strong programming fundamentals
•Fluent in English
We require:

•Excellent communication and analytical skills
Nice to have skills, but not required:
•Ruby on Rails
•MySQL
•OS X and Linux Command Line Proficiency
•Other: RSpec, Git, Apache
Compensation:
$50,000 baht per month with expected raises within 12 months
